The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta continues to offer all of the qualities that have made it a favourite of many Canadian buyers over the years and due to a refresh last year, it remains one of the most modern vehicles in its category.

The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta is available with a large number of desirable features as standard or as options on one of its three trim levels. Every Jetta is equipped with the Digital Cockpit instrument display, the Front Assist forward collision warning, heated front seats, LED headlamps, a heated steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as pedestrian detection. Stepping up to higher trim levels adds items such as LED taillamps, larger alloy wheels, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a wireless charging pad, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, the Beats Audio sound system, the larger Digital Cockpit display, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and automatic high beams. This means the Jetta can be either a well-equipped affordable sedan or an almost premium vehicle.
A powerful and efficient engine
Introduced last year in the Jetta lineup, the 1.5L turbocharged engine that powers every 2023 Volkswagen Jetta (except the GLI) benefits from more power than the previous 1.4L engine as well as being more efficient. This translates into a power output of 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, which gives the Jetta an impressive level of performance. This power is harnessed either by a six-speed manual transmission or by an 8-speed automatic transmission and an advanced chassis that allows for the driving dynamics that have made the reputation of Volkswagen.
The GLI version
The 2023 Volkswagen Jetta is also offered in the GLI trim for drivers who want more performance and more driving fun from their compact sedan. This model uses a more powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine that delivers 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to either a six-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission. In order to offer the best traction at all times, the Jetta GLI is also equipped with an XDS electronic limited-slip differential as standard.
