August 30 2021,
The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta was unveiled earlier this month and is coming this Fall with numerous improvements. Although not completely redesigned, the Jetta has been improved considerably, ensuring that both current Volkswagen enthusiasts and potential buyers will quickly fall in love with the Volkswagen sedan. Here are three improvements made to the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta.
The Engine
The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This engine is an improved version of the current 1.4-litre turbo. It has the same torque, but it has 11 more horsepower. Shared with the new Volkswagen Taos, the new turbo four-cylinder features a higher compression ratio which improves fuel economy. In other words, the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta will be more powerful, but it will also be more efficient.
The Exterior
The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta gets a host of improvements to its exterior including a new bumper front and back, a new grille, new wheels, and new colour options.
The Interior
Volkswagen will offer more technologies in its Jetta than ever before. It will feature the new Car-Net connected services system, a heated steering wheel, a new digital instrument cluster measuring 8 inches standard with an optional 10-inch cluster in the top trims, and wireless charging.
